Wedding, Rehearsal

{meagan, becky, pam, adrienne, anna, libby, lauren, lindsey}

We kicked off the wedding weekend with the rehearsal! My flower girls were able to start their love affair with my friends (I mean, look how excited they were!), we rehearsed, rehearsed again, then called it a success.

We are hosting a little Thanksgiving get-together today at our house (on our new china!! yay!) so here's to hoping we don't burn the bird. Enjoy your family time, y'all.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Showering

The last weekend of August my aunt Shelly hosted a lovely shower for me at the Chocolate Angel Tearoom in Plano! Growing up, I was blessed to be surrounded by such amazing women most of whom were able to come and celebrate.

Luck in Love

Though I didn't plan on taking a three month break, the wedding, not surprisingly, won out over regular posting but I am back, married, and ready to go! To get back into the swing of things, I thought I would jump back and post all of the wedding events that I missed covering here on this little blog of ours so first up, our couples' shower.

My lovely girlfriends hosted a green Irish themed wedding shower for us in honor of our honeymoon to Ireland. It was so much fun! We had BBQ and beer; dessert was a delicious cake, that we are still talking about, and a green themed candy bar! I'll let the pictures do the talking.

{beautiful hostesses - missed you Becky!}

Huynh proposed to me at the Alamo Drafthouse which then later on in the year, very sadly, closed. My brother-in-law and sister ended up tracking down two chairs from the theater and gave them to us as our gift!

Showering This Weekend!

Five wonderful women (and subsquently their husbands or soon-to-bes) are hosting us a green themed stock-the-bar shower complete with alcoholic cupcakes and BBQ. I am so excited!! Let's hope things don't get too crazy.

Lately

{first bowl of pho at Nom Nom!}

Y'all. I have been so freakin' busy. Work has been crazy busy with this Hazop filling my days and wedding plans and recipe testing filling my nights (granted those are the best kind of problems!). Since I missed recapping the weekend - you get an almost full week of recap done via pictures.

Lucky you.

Cleaning

This weekend is all about getting our house under control! This is our last off weekend until the wedding so I fully intend on using every bit of time I have to making the best of it (which includes cleaning out the kitchen cabinets and organizing all of our cleaning supplies). Have a good one!!

Whole Foods

While I never make it to Whole Foods, when I do, it feels like Christmas. Here are three things that tickled my fancy when I was last there that I just absolutely could not resist putting them in my shopping basket and taking them home in a Whole Foods paper bag. And heck, I just may be motivated to finally make Huynh a home-cooked Indian dinner to serve alongside some naan.

Weekend, recap

{honeymoon scrapbook stickers}

I had such a lovely kitchen shower held in The Woodlands this weekend! While my iPhone pics do not do it justice, we had delicious looking (and tasting) cookies coupled alongside some bubbly champagne. With the invitations, each guest received a blank recipe card to fill out and return to me which I filed away in my new recipe box - a wonderful gift from my sister - and then, to top it off, my nieces decorated my "throne" in which I sat to open up all of the lovely gifts we received from such wonderful women (I seriously could not be more blessed)!! Such a wonderful day!
